Wibbitz takes on the U.S. market with $8M in funding and a unique platform

This was an exciting week for Wibbitz with our big announcement of $8 million series B funding and expansion into the U.S. market. After building a strong international client base, we’re ready to take on the U.S. market and develop partnerships with its impressive group of publishers. We’re proud to continue our strong relationships with existing investors Horizon Ventures, lool ventures, Initial Capital and Kima Ventures, and to welcome NantMobile to the Wibbitz family.


We’ve officially opened our New York office in the Financial District, which is increasingly becoming a magnet for media and startup companies. The Wibbitz family is growing as we build out Business Development, Sales, and Marketing departments in New York. If this news wasn’t exciting enough, we’re also introducing our advanced video creation platform, the Wibbitz Control-Room. The Control-Room allows publishers to automatically create videos from their text stories, providing editorial tools and access to top-quality licensed content.
